Our classes are tailored to individuals and small groups alike. We partner with corporate bodies, healthcare facilities and agencies to ensure their employees are well-equipped to provide the most basic of First Aide and CPR skills, and required Health care service provider certifications.
Coursework and subjects included in the program’s training and its competency evaluation:
This is a Blended class, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session.
Students must first complete Online on the American Red Cross website. Once completed, the student will receive a Certificate of completion for the online portion. That certificate must be presented at the time of the hands-on session in order to obtain final certification. Students must then enroll in an instructor-led skill session within 90 days of completing the online course.
This series of courses are designed to teach unlicensed Developmental Disability personnel (DD) how to safely administer medication at various settings authorized by law and courses are taught by trained Registered Nurses.
Medication Administration I
14-hour course designed to teach how to prepare, administer and document the performance of the 13 health-related activities (HRAs) and the administration of prescribed oral, topical, and inhaled medications, and application of topical over-the-counter medications for musculoskeletal comfort.
Two-hour renewal course offered
Medication Administration II
4-hour course designed to provide DD personnel the educational basis to receive nursing delegation for feeding and medication administration per Stable Labeled Gastrostomy / Jejunostomy (G / J) tubes, including understanding the equipment and procedure for feeding and medication administration per (G / J) tube, the placement of G / J tubes, site care and maintenance of these tubes.

Medication Administration III
A 4-hour course designed to teach the signs, symptoms, and management of diabetes, and administering, and documentation of subcutaneous insulin injections.

PREREQUISITES:
Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course equips students with the knowledge necessary to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants.This course is approved by the American Red Cross, offered in person and meets OSHA requirements for workplace.
After successful completion of this course, students receive a valid 2 year Red Cross digital certificate that is OSHA compliant and meets other workplace and regulatory requirements.
